Daily Reading: Hebrews 6:1-8

usually I know write a popular verse but I think this is more interesting...

You've moved from preschool to elementary school, from elementary school to middle school. Some have already taken the big step from middle school to high school. your next goal is high school graduate, then college or a job. It's kind of like this in the Christian life, too. We all start out as baby believers, but we shouldn't stay this way.(Nobody wants to stay in Elementary School forever.) Day by day, we should be growing immaturity as Christians. That's the point in our key verse (Hebrews 6:1-2) So how do we do this? We need to read our bibles regularly and talk to God in prayer. We need to spend time with Christian friends. Doing these things consistently Will help us grow as believers until we graduate.
Essential Magazine August 2008

What I thought of the passage...

Having God in our hearts we need to please and honor him. We also need to have faith in him. Once we know God and his greatness if we do ever leave him we will repent for the rest of our lives in sorrow. If land has seed in it and is watered and cared for will produce a bounty of food. When the plant produced food it was a blessing of God. But land that is thorny and not properly kept is cursed, in the end it will be burned. We need to properly take care of Christianity if we want to move on in faith.

Daily Question:
If God loves me, why isn't life easier?

Then Jesus said to the disciples, "If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
Matthew 16:24

Bubbly Soils Part 2

Facts about the Soils:

Hard Soil: You are trampled to the ground then eaten by birds. The Bird is Satan and he takes you away and lives inside of you. Satan can only be in one place at a time but he has demons, that have chossen to be evil and cannot go back to being an angel. They will possess you. A story in the bible says that Jesus saw a man possessed by demons, thousands of them. Jesus told them to come out and before they did they asked if they could possess the pigs in the fields Jesus said yes. The pigs being possessed ran of a cliff and drowned in the river below. That is how dangerous they can be.

Thorny Soil: You know who Christ is but you think all the other things in world are much better. You care what people think about you and how you look. This doesn't mean you treat others badly and don't groom or dress nicely. It shouldn't be more important than God though. If you know the truth and surrounded by thorny soil you can't reach out and spread the word because you are distracted by other things.

Rocky Soil: You listen to the word of God and you go to church just it doesn't reach down inside and plant firmly in your heart. Just because you worship God one day doesn't mean you can't worship him any other day. There is no excuse for not making God a part of your life. A simple prayer to talk to God or if you have time, which you should, read your bible and do devotions.

Good Soil: You produce goodness, read your bible, talk to God but of course no one is perfect so you don't do every thing right, but you make God a part of your life.

Daily Reading: Hebrews 5:11-14

Popular verse:
But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
Hebrews 5:14

What I thought about passage:
You will not always remember everything you learn about God that is why we must read his word over and over again. If you live on milk you are an infant and still are learning. If you live on solid foods you are protected against evil.Every believer is to be a teacher. If they have obeyed God they shall spread the TRUTH. DO NOT rely on the law rely on GOD! Knowledge without obedience does not advance a person. Those who have come to Christ by faith are thereby mature and able to receive the wisdom of God.

Daily Question:
Why do bad things happen to me?

My son, do not despise the the Lord's discipline and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in
Proverbs 3;11-12

Daily Reading: Luke 8:4-15

Popular verse:
But the seed in the good ground- these are the ones who, having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring, bear fruit.
Luke 8:15

What I thought:
The Four Soils:
Good Soil- Christian, bear fruit

Rocky soil- Non Believer,at first you start going and doing the right thing and then you get bored and move on

Thorny Soil- Non Believer, other things seem more important and you only care about looking cool and stuff.

Hard Soil- Non Believer, Satan comes in to your heart and takes control.

Many people say well some days I am this other days I am this. You can only be one soil.

Each seed is the word of God. The only one that lives is the seed in the good soil.

Daily Reading:
Galatians 3:10-13

Popular Verse:
Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous will live by faith.
Galatians 3:11

What I thought:
If you rely on the law you are not trusting God, you are trusting the Government. For the Law is not based on Faith. You are cursed for choosing law over God.

Daily Question:
Why are so lessons so hard to learn?

It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.
Psalms 119:71

My Dog

Many people have heard the story but I would still like to tell it! It goes like this...

On Sunday morning my dog Teddy, a Schnauzer Yorkie mix, was outside in the back forty with my dad were the sheep live. when all of a sudden on the other side of the fence a coyote appeared. Teddy being as courageous as he is went through the fence and ran up to the coyote. The coyote then reached down and picked up Teddy and ran away with him.

My dad heard wrestling and whimpering noises and knew Teddy was a goner. All of a sudden Teddy comes out of the bushes in a daze. He staggers home and jumps in my bed. when we took him to the vet He got to stiches and we could see flesh underneath his wound.

He is feeling better. He gets all happy and energetic then the soreness kicks in and he starts whimpering.
Yesterday our neighbors came over with their German Shepard. He is about the size of a coyote and has ears that stood up. Teddy started growling and attacking him thinking that it was a coyote. The noise was really loud!
Every now and then he growls in his dreams like their is a coyote their.
He has a little red in his eye and no one knows why.

He got his stitches out on Tuesday and is feeling much better. The red in his eye is gone. This happened about a week ago. I just needed the guts to tell you. Thank you for your prayers.

Read: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

Popular verse:
Therefor encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.
Thessalonians 5:11

What I thought about the passage:
Trust God. If you are in the light you are safe. The difference between good and evil. Put on the armor of God.

Daily verse:
Why should I " count it all joy" when things go wrong?

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
Hebrews 12:11

How can I feel better when i am hurting?

Bubbles floating to heaven

I do this thing called devotions. It is when you read the bible and pick a verse each day to read. My Bible has this thing in the beginning where it has the daily question and it has a verse for it. I will post that and my devotion is from a magazine called Essential Connection, GOD+LIFE+FUN.
It has the day of each month and the story. I will fill it out online.
