wet pants ( a VERY powerful story)

WET PANTS

Come with me to a third grade classroom..... There is a nine-year-old kid sitting at his desk and all of a sudden, there is a puddle between his feet and the front of his pants are wet. He thinks his heart is going to stop because he cannot possibly imagine how this has happened. It's never happened before, and he knows that when the boys find out he will never hear the end of it. When the girls find out, they'll never speak to him again as long as he lives.

The boy believes his heart is going to stop; he puts his head down and prays this prayer, 'Dear God, this is an emergency! I need help now! Five minutes from now I'm dead meat.'

He looks up from his prayer and here comes the teacher with a look in her eyes that says he has been discovered.

As the teacher is walking toward him, a classmate named Susie is carrying a goldfish bowl that is filled with water. Susie trips in front of the teacher and inexplicably dumps the bowl of water in the boy's lap.

The boy pretends to be angry, but all the while is saying to himself, 'Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord!'

Now all of a sudden, instead of being the object of ridicule, the boy is the object of sympathy. The teacher rushes him downstairs and gives him gym shorts to put on while his pants dry out. All the other children are on their hands and knees cleaning up around his desk. The sympathy is wonderful. But as life would have it, the ridicule that should have been his has been transferred to someone else - Susie.

She tries to help, but they tell her to get out. You've done enough, you klutz!'

Finally, at the end of the day, as they are waiting for the bus, the boy walks over to Susie and whispers, 'You did that on purpose, didn't you?' Susie whispers back, 'I wet my pants once too.'

May God help us see the opportunities that are always around us to do good..

Remember.....Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.

Each and everyone one of us is going through tough times right now, but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that only He can. Keep the faith.

This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's continue to pray for one another.

The Prayer:

Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and those that I care deeply for, who are reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings. Amen.

This is very powerful! crying is necessary.

Daily Reading: Hebrews 5:11-14

Popular verse:
But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
Hebrews 5:14

What I thought about passage:
You will not always remember everything you learn about God that is why we must read his word over and over again. If you live on milk you are an infant and still are learning. If you live on solid foods you are protected against evil.Every believer is to be a teacher. If they have obeyed God they shall spread the TRUTH. DO NOT rely on the law rely on GOD! Knowledge without obedience does not advance a person. Those who have come to Christ by faith are thereby mature and able to receive the wisdom of God.

Daily Question:
Why do bad things happen to me?

My son, do not despise the the Lord's discipline and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in
Proverbs 3;11-12

Daily Reading: Luke 8:4-15

Popular verse:
But the seed in the good ground- these are the ones who, having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring, bear fruit.
Luke 8:15

What I thought:
The Four Soils:
Good Soil- Christian, bear fruit

Rocky soil- Non Believer,at first you start going and doing the right thing and then you get bored and move on

Thorny Soil- Non Believer, other things seem more important and you only care about looking cool and stuff.

Hard Soil- Non Believer, Satan comes in to your heart and takes control.

Many people say well some days I am this other days I am this. You can only be one soil.

Each seed is the word of God. The only one that lives is the seed in the good soil.

Bubbly Bible

August 14, 2008

Daily Reading:
Galatians 3:10-13

Popular Verse:
Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous will live by faith.
Galatians 3:11

What I thought:
If you rely on the law you are not trusting God, you are trusting the Government. For the Law is not based on Faith. You are cursed for choosing law over God.

Daily Question:
Why are so lessons so hard to learn?

It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.
Psalms 119:71

Read: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

Popular verse:
Therefor encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.
Thessalonians 5:11

What I thought about the passage:
Trust God. If you are in the light you are safe. The difference between good and evil. Put on the armor of God.

Daily verse:
Why should I " count it all joy" when things go wrong?

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
Hebrews 12:11
